I didn't realize I was buying a used book. The cardboard cover is broken (torn at the top) and the pages are a bit worn. It has a "Goodwill" price sticker on the back. But since it is similar to other books my granddaughter loves, I taped it up and kept it. The price was right for a used book, I just don't remember seeing that information before my purchase. MY BAD.

children enjoy this book because of the plastic pigs in it which they can squeeze. It teaches children to count backwards or forwards depending on which way you read it and it also uses fairy tales and nursery rhymes which offer parents something more to share with children when reading this book
I recently got this book from the library to read to my baby (he's due in June, but I'm sure he still manages to enjoy it!) and my 4 year old niece ended up dragging it to her house. It's 2 days overdue and we still cannot find it! She loved the book and took it everywhere with her, and now it might be anywhere in the city. It's a great book and great to read with young children. I had my niece count the piggies on each page and she loved it!
This is one of my son's favorite books. We read it several times a day on most days. It has very cute illustrations and a nice story to go along with it. He also enjoys the squishy little piggies.
Again and again, "This Little Piggy" is pulled off a shelf and dragged across the house. "Book?" "Book?" "Book?" (which really means "Mama, do you have five minutes to pull me on your lap and read my favorite story to me?").

I'm not sure what there is about this book...Maybe it's the illustrations...maybe it's the "different" items that are placed on each page to discuss...Maybe it's the "squishy" touch-and-feel pigs....Maybe it's just because it's a great counting book...but he loves it!!

I will be giving this to all my friends who are having children! It's definitely one of the top five toddler books out there!
